Went here at the beginning of October for u-pick apples. They were pretty picked over and it was muddy so we were ased to walk not drive. Donuts were good and the kids enjoyed the petting zoo. Disappointed that inside the store all the apple butter, pumpkin butter, etc. was from some company in Virginia. There was also a pumpkin patch and hayrides there.
Great seasonal fruit. Love the variety of apples. The little petting zoo is nice. I always have to say hi to the goats & donkeys.
My grandkids and I have made apple/pumpkin picking a yearly event! We've been going there for 6 years. Love it!
Went with a school group and everybody was so great with the kids! Hayride was nice. Apples, cider, and donuts were all very good. Small petting zoo. Very nice place.
Johnston has best apples anywhere period. If you can think of an apple type, they will have it fresh and Ohio grown. There is a petting zoo for the children (although adults can like the adorable animals too). The storefront sells our favorite honey; they have great apple cider and various squash, pumpkins and pick your own berries. When in the Swanton area - you have to visit and stock up!
