The people and the facility at Toledo Express are amazing. The sad thing is customer service when you call budget to make a reservation is pitifully poor.
We were pleased with the friendliness of the staff member, the lack of lines, the convenience to airport and the ease of drop off. Our only complaint if we had to give one was the car we requested was available in the lot ( 2 of them) but they claimed they weren't clean, so we got the "Or Comparable" car. And the paperwork and clerk stated that the toll device was in car and just needed to be put in glove box if we didn't want to use it, but hubby had to run back in to alert them that car didn't have one.

You just stranded me at this airport with no transportation while I was traveling home to say goodbye to my dying grandmother. I reserved a car over the phone for this airport at 941pm. I even verified twice that I was arriving at this airport at 941pm and that a car would be waiting for me. But when I arrived, they were closed. I was hung up on 3 times before I got ahold and was told that I was out of luck because they were closed. I was told they could move the reservation back to the next morning and that I could take a taxi to a local hotel all of which I would have to pay for. Instead, I had to ask my dad, who is grieving the imminent loss of his mother to drive an hour each way in the middle of the night to come get me. You should be ashamed of your customer service and I will never rent from you again.
My recent experience with Budget Rental in Swanton, OH was seamless, effortless and great. The representatives are friendly and welcoming. Even with the number of people they had in line. You felt as though you were the only one there. My agent also provided me with vehicle recommendations based upon my needs and took the time to explain the Eco Friendly characteristics of the car I rented... so I wouldn't be surprised.
The budget car rental at the Toledo Airport was a great experience the car was new and it only had 1000 miles on it and the car was clean and ran great. The staff was friendly and fast and the price was the best in the area. I will use them again on my future trips to the Ohio area.
